Gandhi's Path

As I read history, I am constantly amazed at the power of someone with deep convictions and determination.  Gandhi was one of those people.  He once said, "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."  From those inspiring words came the title of this painting, The Change.  I wanted to surround Gandhi's unassuming likeness with the rich colors seen in the fabrics and food of his country.  The bright colors are balanced with the strength of  his meek and respectful gaze.
